Making improvements around the Ranch.

Building a pond for a water source to do a better job of pasture rotation. Hopefully doing a better job of grass management will help get the most out of our cows at this location. Because in the show cattle business either you are getting better OR your getting passed by on your way out!

Monopoly heifer with style.

929 Monopoly x 6X . This one is out of a beautiful black baldy cow that is one of our favorites. She has best disposition and is a real sweetheart. Also, I love the little white on the face. Be sure to put her on your list to check out this fall.

A shot of chrome.

                                                                      BIM x 6X
I think Wade had in an ad that said the major Champions all had a shot of color. This one has just enough splash of color to always be noticed. Also, he has everything else to be noticed. Butt , bone and that cool neck with the Brockle face.

Sheldon in the pasture breeding heifers.

Sheldon ( Grizzly x Big Momma 23)
We are very excited for this you sire. Bred for maternal strength with the show look.

Purebred Simmental heifer that will turn heads.

I told ya I would have more to show you on one of my favorite beasts. She was pictured on the blog as a baby shadowing her mom (Miss Alamba).
She is a PB Simmental out of Shocking Dream and a first calf heifer. Thanks to Nick Dwyer for telling me about this one's mother at Jones Show Cattle,OH.

Congrats Lock family for winning steer show at Eldon,Ia

Nice Job Taylor Lock with her Champion Steer at Eldon , Iowa. This is a Walks Alone out of Beauty the past Rising Stars 2 sale feature. This is a great example of a super family building their own show cattle out of Holtkamp genetics.  Best of luck to the Lock family.

A couple calf pictures in the pasture.

Both of these calves are Walks Alone. Run for the backdrop sale September 15th will be here soon.

Finally took a picture of UCB.

Under Cover Brother (UCB) is the full brother to Predator. UCB has been doing a great job of sireing more hair and lighter birth weights. We are cleaning up our yearling heifers with him.
